HAC-003 Battery, Upgraded 5180mAh Replacement Battery for Nintendo Switch 2017 Game Console HAC-001 HAC-A-BPHAT-C0 HAC-S-JP Internal Battery

I used this battery kit and successfully replaced the battery on my switch, as the console was dead with an assumed failed original battery.However, this new battery would not charge, so after it drained I was out of ideas so I decided to send the console into Nintendo for a free diagnosis, free quote for repair.I was honest with Nintendo in my explanation about me replacing the battery, as I'm pretty sure there would be a warranty sticker destroyed due to my opening - and after all, it was a 4 year old console so I was expecting to pay them - but nope, they just sent it back due to 'tampering'So.. I then found an online switch Modder to test and repair the console and they replaced what turned out to be a faulty charging port.This battery kit works great, but you must consider your warranty and also consider the option you have access to for using Nintendo's repair service, specifically their free diagnosis and quote, as once you mess with the console you are closing that door and will then only have access to paid alternatives if your new battery doesn't fix your issue.5 stars given as the above experience is no fault of this battery kit.

Son was complaining his battery wasn’t lasting long on his Nintendo Switch. It’s had regular use for a good few years and I surmised the battery was starting to show its age. Nearly all I needed was in the pack to replace the battery. To get the original battery out was a bit of a struggle, but I eventually overcome the adhesive and got the bugger out. I would suggest the only thing missing was some heat sink compound to go back on the rear shell and would have been worthy of a 5* review. Son is happy as not his switch last in excess of 3 hours.

Purchased the item in July 2024, now it not working as expected, battery says it has a 53% charge but the device shuts down. Unable to contact seller for a replacement.

Having the tools in the kit was a great idea as the screws are tiny and not everybody has precision screwdrivers to hand, A how to video is available on youtube.
