Love, love, love this feeder. I've had automatic feeders in the past that dumped massive amounts of food in the water! This one doesn't. I only have one betta and his portion needs are not massive. This feeder allows daily feedings or every other day. I tend to feed every other day when traveling so the water doesn't get murky. I charged it upon receipt and 3 weeks later it still doesn't need charging. It fits rimmed or rimless aquariums. No complaints. Excellent purchase.

I want to feed my goldfish 3x daily, but I'm busy in the mornings preparing for work and spend the afternoons at work so I'm only available to feed them once a day. After reading reviews of different automatic feeders I decided to go with this. The food doesn't get wet in the feeder. You can put in different foods in the different compartments to give the fish variety. I think the price is fair. My only concern is that in order to change one time setting you have to go through all of them from beginning to end to make sure it sets. It's a little frustrating, but not that bad really. I also love that it's USB chargeable; less money spent on batteries.

I travel a few times throughout the year for two or more weeks at a time. I worry about all my animals when I travel, but worry about my fish the most because if I’m not there, nobody will feed them. I decided to give this automatic feeder a shot. I did test it out for two weeks prior to my last vacation to make sure that it would work, boy am I glad I did that. It is a little confusing to set up and to program the timer. It may not be for everyone but for me, I had to adjust it a few times before it was perfect. You control how much food they get you control what time they are fed and how often. I love that about this automatic feeder. It worked perfectly after I programmed it the last time and fed my fish like I would for over two weeks. Very good price. I would recommend it. It does make a little bit of a noise when it’s working, but at least you know it is working when you hear the noise, plus when you’re away you won’t hear the noise so it’s a win-win. It does come with suction cups, and a way to secure it to your tank. I like that option. All in all I would recommend this feeder. The piece of mine you get is worth the price.

Once I figured out how to properly use these (the directions were a bit vague), they worked great! I was able to confidently leave my fish tank for almost a week, knowing my fish would be fed the right amount and not overfed. The timer and portion control are reliable, and the moisture-proof design kept the food fresh. A great solution for vacation feeding! One more important thing I want to add - because my tanks both have lids.I specifically chose this one because I was able to position it over the feeding hole and that was so helpful. A lot of the other types required you to leave your lid off. I’ve got some jumpers so that wasn’t an option.Four stars only because the directions were vague and had I not practiced using this on a napkin a week before I went it would’ve severely overfed my fish.

Works well! “Test Drove” it a couple days before our trip. Instructions were a little hard to understand, but I was able to find some YouTube videos that helped. DO NOT purchase if you are only feeding flake food. I didn’t realize this was an issue until after I ordered it. I ended up buying pellet food that would work at the last minute. Also, it only has a certain number of compartments, so if you need a feeder for a really long period of time, this isn’t going to help.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I bought this after not wanting to deal with another feeder hanging off the side of the tank. This works great for daily feeding of specific foods every day. It’s not a mass dumping of a general portion of food. You fill each slot individually with what exactly you want dumped into the tank and when.

I'm very happy with this feeder. Having compartments for each feeding event makes it more certain the fish are getting the amount of food you want. It works very well. Feeding twice a day limits you to 1 week though so for longer trips I'll use this once a day and a different type for once a day. I'm much more comfortable with this one though. Just so you know that when selecting a charger, I found that chargers rated greater than around 2 amps output (I don't know the exact cutoff) or more will not charge the device. I see this as as safety feature but I was alarmed when it would not charge until I figured this out.

So far the battery still shows full after 5-6 days. Pretty easy to work and set up timer. The slots are small and a little hard to add flakes but more slots the more days you feed.It’s great for vacation but not everyday u less you have a larger tank. Mine is small so it looks bulky. I will take off and store when I come back from vacation and hand feed again. If you have a large tank and can fit it in the back it would be an everyday hands free feeder.
