Wow. Game changer for migraines! Helps me fall asleep faster too. Love love love!
I have suffered from chronic migraines for as long as I can remember and they have really taken a toll on me. When I have one, I really can’t do much of anything at all and the pain is just unbearable. Of course, I’ve tried just about everything out there for migraines, and some things definitely help a little bit but I’ve never truly found anything that really made them go away or reduced the pain a whole lot…until I found this lamp. I recently read an article about some new studies that had been coming out on different wavelengths of light and how some wavelengths are more electrically stimulating to the brain than others. That’s when I first heard about green light therapy for migraine relief. The study found that green light at specific wavelengths or bandwidths or whatever are less stimulating to the brain than other colors. This made sense to me because normal light usually makes my migraines worse…typically I need to go into total darkness for any relief. I checked to see what was available on Amazon for green light migraine relief and found this Hooga lamp…it emits the exact wavelength of light (520 nanometers) that I had read about.I received my Hooga lamp within a day or two and waited until I had my first migraine to try it out. According to the instructions, you want to go in to an otherwise dark room and turn the light on green mode (two taps) and spend at least 30 minutes in the light. Amazingly I’ve found that within about 20 minutes or my migraine is dramatically improved. I will spend as much time as possible in the light if I’ve got a migraine, it’s that noticeable of a difference. I almost can’t even believe how much this helps with my migraines. I go into my office in the basement which is perfect because I can keep it really dark, turn on the green light, and just relax. I know they say for best results I shouldn’t use my phone or electronics, but I’ve personally found that if I use the night mode on my phone or iPad screen in conjunction with the green light therapy lamp in the room, my migraine doesn’t get worse. So I will sometimes use my phone or iPad while I hang out in the green light :)Another surprising use I’ve found for the green light is using it as a reading light before bed. I’ll bring the lamp upstairs with me and set it on my night stand. It really helps me relax. For some reason, the green light is extremely calming and alleviates my anxiousness…I tend to have a little bit of a racing mind and have trouble falling asleep at night and oddly enough this lamp has really helped with that too as well. And on days when I don’t have a migraine or any pain, I am still able to use the Hooga lamp on the warm, white light setting. It’s just one tap to turn the light on and another tap to change the color mode. And you can adjust with the brightness by tapping and holding. It’s so easy to use, and makes my office so cozy. I love it. If you have any sort of light sensitivity, migraines, even anxiousness…I would absolutely give this lamp a try!

Awesome product!
I bought this for my fiance since she deals with chronic migraines and even with injections every few months she still can't shake the pain. However, we added this to our room and it has given a soothing effect that helps her relax and fall asleep better and her headaches have not been nearly as bad. I definitely recommend giving this a try.

Was Great While It Lasted
I bought this light on the recommendation of my dr. It was helping with my migraines. 2months later & the cord isn't working. I have to bend the usb-c end into the lamp in order to get it to maybe connect. I would like a replacement cord for this but not sure I'd there's a universal cord for it.

Did not help headaches.
Although the light is cute and easy to use it did not help my headaches or light sensitivity at all which is unfortunate. I used it as directed in a room with no other light for at least 30 minutes daily. In the evenings I used it while taking a hot bath to hopefully boost the effect. I also tried it in a dark bedroom while having a headache, also before going to sleep and in the morning after waking up. If it wasn’t so expensive I would’ve kept it because it is a very functional night light with the option to have green or soft white light. I ended up returning it.

Migraine lamp?
It’s a good lamp with green or white light. It’s supposed to help prevent migraines. I’m not certain that I agree but I’m using it.

Worked great ONCE. Now it won’t turn on at all.
I would have givin this 5 stars after the first use- but that was the ONLY use. It has not turned on since.I had the very expensive original green migraine light for 5+ years, until the usb charging port broke. I tried this because 1/3 the price seemed great. And it worked well, it did the same pain reduction- it let me read while I had a migraine- the light intensity control was better than the expensive light. I missed the screen so I could block the direct light and use reflected light, but I just cut a hole in the box and that was fine. But it will NOT charge, I’m not sure it EVER held a charge. I had it plugged in for the first use. Now it won’t work even plugged in. And I’ve only had it a few weeks. At least I’m within my return window. I used it ONCE.I’m really bummed because I set the old one on my keyboard and it really decreased my eye strain and migraines with lots of computer use (architecture grad school- lots of computer) and this one should have been able to do that too. Nothing else I’ve seen has that.I’d be tempted to try it again, but there are so many other “it stopped working” reviews that I guess I just suffer until I have hundreds of dollars for a new good light.
