Dang, that's a LOT of chicken hearts!
This is a pretty big bag of chicken hearts, and it's really full!I try to feed my dogs like I feed myself, good quality foods with limited ingredients or even better, whole foods. These chicken hearts are USA freeze dried, single ingredient, RAW (yes!) with no preservatives or added ingredients of any kind.Regardless of what anybody says, dogs are ancestral carnivores, period. All carnivores will eat incidental vegetation like nibbling grass and such but the body thrives on meat. One of the most important elements of a species appropriate diet for dogs (and yes, humans) is organ meat. Chicken hearts are super nutritious and make a great dog treat. This is an affordable way to supplement your pooch's nutrition that they think is a treat. All of my dogs love them and they're pretty easy to cut into smaller pieces for training treats.

Loved by all cats. Be sure to rehydrate. Be sure to boil for bird flu.
Among all the freeze dried chicken hearts on amazon that had consistently good reviews these are the cheapest. There were a couple of cheaper ones but they had too many reviews complaining of the hearts having a rancid smell because they were not fresh enough or not processed right.I have several cats and they all like different things. Some like tuna and some don't. Some like shrimp and some don't. Some like minnows and some don't etc. They all do like freeze dried liver but not all of them like that as much as the chicken hearts which they all love.Adding organ meats to your cats diet is very healthy for them. You do have to be careful with liver to not overdo it and give them vitamin A toxicity. Chicken hearts are a great source of nutrients for your cats including several minerals and vitamins as well as taurine, collagen, Coq10, and carnitine. 1-3 hearts per day is the right amount for your cat with three hearts per day actually meeting the entirety of their taurine need.I give them each one a heart. day. I also rehydrate the hearts in a glass of water before giving it to them. This is important because it helps get more liquid into their diet, which most cats need, and because too much freeze dried food in their tummies is a sure way to induce your cats into throwing up all over the place.Update:Now that bird flu has become a concern it is no longer wise to feed your pets raw animal products, especially raw poultry products. What I do now with these chicken hearts is bring a small pot of water to a boil and then throw the chicken hearts into the water and let them boil for one minute. That will kill any potential bird flu virus in the product.Using this method, more nutrients are going to be extracted from the chicken hearts and brought into the water than when rehydrating the chicken hearts in water at room temperature so it can be especially beneficial to give that water to your cats or dogs to drink after it has cooled.

Quality Control?
3rd purchase update 10/24 redemption! I did finally work through the May 24 purchase but it took twice a long for my cat to finish it due to the questionable quality of that batch. Bought this in early October 24 to give the brand another chance. This bag has proven to be much like the first purchase in 2023. Excellent quality! Nice large slices that look like freshly cut chicken. I'm so happy that the last bag was a one off. This is a very high quality product. My cat loves this chicken and all animals I've treated with this love it! Dogs and cats lose their minds! 10/10 highly recommend! The first time I purchased this for my cat and various other friend and family pets as a treat I was blown away by the to quality the chicken seemed to be. All of the animals I feed this to loved it!2nd bag purchased recently and the texture of the chicken has changed dramatically! Stiff, hard clumps and little of the original product I'd been introduced to in my first purchase. My cat isn't going crazy for it from this bag and in fact has left uneaten portions which never happened with the first bag. It's a real shame to think I've possibly wasted $40 on a bag of freeze dried chicken that won't be eaten by a cat.I'd give this product 5 stars if not for the lack of quality control. I not sure if I'll buy again because of this. Really disappointing because it's hard to get raised and processed in the USA pet food & treats anymore that don't break the bank!

Good product.
When I ordered these in the past, they had a slightly old grease smell. This time around they didn’t have that smell. I don’t know if I got an old batch the last time, but my dogs love these treats. For the bag size, it’s cheaper than buying from the stores.

Great value!
My dogs love Bison treats and when I came across a pound of it for $36 I could not pass up trying it.The treats are uniform in size which makes them easy to use for training treats, and there is very little dust left at the end of the bag which has been an issue with other brands. The treats are easy to break apart if you need smaller sizing, and my dogs seem to love the taste.

Great dog training treats!
My little pooch is nuts for these treats. I have 8# dog so I cut the little cubes in half. These are terrific.

My dog loves these all natural dehydrated chicken hearts!
Wonderful food topper for my dog who is a picky eater! The chicken hearts are dehydrated so they travel well as they don’t require refrigeration. The 1 pound bag goes a long way and is good value for money. Made in the USA. Highly recommended!
