10W Bug Zapper Light Bulb T8 Bulb UV Bulb for 20W Bug Zappers (2-Pack)

The media could not be loaded.  I bought these to replace bulbs in a 20w bug zapper purchased here on Amazon. After getting the zapper reassembled, neither light worked. I gave up and put a 2nd zapper I had purchased into service. Then the second one died. Replaced those bulbs too and it remained dead. (Except for the zapper part!)Upon inspecting the innards, I found a couple swollen capacitors and blown permanent fuse on the fluorescent driver board. I replaced the caps and jumped the fuse. The lights lit up for a split second then one of the new capacitors exploded.Bottom line is that I was initially disappointed with the new lights, but it turned out the cheap Chinese made zappers were dead.I replaced the ballasts in both dead zappers with ones from some removed under counter lights. They're both working great now and so are the new bulbs I purchased!Attached a photo of both dead zappers, one of them has a replacement ballast already installed. The attached video shows it working again with these new bulbs.

Be sure to check the life of the bulbs you buy as the best deal isn't the best deal. I learned my lesson and then bought these for our bug zapper. I was disappointed in the last bulbs I bought which seemed like a couple of months after installing them, they burnt out. Then I checked and realized those are not meant to last but these sure are! I will stick to these bulbs for our zapper from now on.

The first order arrived with BOTH bulbs dead. The 2nd shipment: they didn't last but 40 days at 12hours use per day...480 hour total. Well BELOW the hours listed on the site. So unless you're going to HIT the bugs with the bulbs I wouldn't buy these AT ALL!

The original tubes that came with the unit lasted four years. I replaced the tubes with these in February 2020, and one has already burned out only six months later. Stick with the Aspectek tubes...

Installed these in my bug zapper, less than three months later they were out. I remember bulbs like these lasting YEARS but now they last weeks. What a shame.

My dad insisted that these would fix a bug zapper that I told him it wouldnt, however we ordered them anyway. Great for the price, but alas, they didnt fit - as expected.

Know what's annoying? When you order a product that not only doesn't work or packed horribly (its a light bulb, for gods sake!)... is when you return it, you get charged a re-stocking fee!Save your money and go to your local hardware store. You'll save your time and effort. I went to my local hardware store and got it for less. But it was lesson learned.-Save your time & money. Zero stars
