I got Geniani humidifier by my doctor’s advice to help get rid of my son’s cough and allergies. Having heard a lot about humidifiers and all the things they can do for health, I was kind of skeptical anyway.The first thing I noticed when I plugged the humidifier in was that it produces a big amount of fresh air. In over an hour, my kid’s room was covered with fresh cool mist. I had to reduce the volume and change the direction of the stream - but, all in all, it’s nice to see the result of a humidifier working in just a few hours.Day 2Next day I noticed that my kid got a few hours of extra sleep and was coughing rarer than before. He also seemed to be more energized and didn’t tire out after the long day in the street.Day 3I also got to experience that it’s easy to look after the humidifier. After all the tiresome procedures I read about on the Internet, I was happy I don’t need to take the base off part by part or clean the filter.All in all, buying the humidifier was a good idea for the family. It’s not so much work to look after it and the effects are worth it for sure.COUPLE OF FINAL POINTSRead the instruction before you start using it especially the cleaning part. Not all you read on the Internet apply to this particular model.A humidifier is safe for children with dry sinuses and allergies. I have had this for 7 months and have used it about 4 times. Each time I pull the tank off to refill it, I find the base flooded with water. This means that every time I want to use it, I have to unplug it, take the base to the sink to empty it, and plug it back in. It’s way too much of a hassle for something meant to be used regularly, and it’s very messy. The tank has developed a film of dirt along the inside, and there is no way for me to get inside to clean it so now it is basically unusable unless I want to fill my home with moldy smelling mist. And the knob that adjusts the humidity level seems to be broken. At least, I can only seem to make it work on the highest level, which pumps out so much mist that I end up with a puddle underneath the humidifier every morning. This product has some major design flaws. That, or I received a defective item.

Works great. Love the looks. Difficult to refill.I use a humidifier all night all winter and this design looks great but it has to be held up with one hand while you pour in the water because it doesn't have a flat surface to stand on. Going to replace it with one that is easier to use and is less messy.

After reading a few reviews and researched a few potential humidifiers, I decided to give this humidifier a try. Like a couple of reviews shared, my son has mild allergies and constantly sounds like a little piglet. He's always congested. I noticed a change right away after setting up this humidifier in his room. Set up was a breeze and the humidifier started working instantly unlike my old one that took about five minutes or so to start. I empty out the water each morning as I've read that it can damage the humidifier if the water is left sitting in it. My son likes the night light it provides and the humidifier is very quiet. When I walk into his room, the air quality is wonderful and I can tell right away that it is working as it should. It's only been about a week thus the four stars.Update: I changed my rating from a four star to a one. All of the aforementioned still stands, but I'm finding that the water is not lasting throughout the night (manufacturer states 12 to 24 hours...) My son is only five and it doesn't sit well with me when the red indicator light comes on after just five hours (on the low setting). I set up the humidifier in his room at about 8:45. I woke up around 2 am and something just told me to check on his humidifier and sure enough the red light was on. This is extremely frustrating because I don't want to have to constantly get up to turn it off. Again, I don't like the idea of the red indicator light staying on for several hours. I'll still use it but with great caution.Update: The seller contacted me and issued me a full refund.

Great one and pretty small to fit into a nightstand.Pros:1) I put it on my daughter's nightstand and she directs the mist towards her bed thanks to those nozzles;2) Helps with dry winters. At our home, there's always not enough moisture which results in skin problems, running noses, and other nasty stuff. After I got the humidifiers, my daughter started missing less school which is an achievement for me to be proud of.3) Easy to handle. I'm not a techie myself so I'm always wary around gadgets and appliances. This humidifier is easy to clean and refill so I'm not afraid to use it.4) Lasts for a while. The water is enough to last the entire night - it's not 24 hours straight but it'll do a solid 16There may be something I forgot to mention. Anyway, I love this humidifier a great deal and is proud to have bought it.
