3 Inch Valvetronic Exhaust Cutout with Muffler Cat Back Exhaust System Valve Kit

The media could not be loaded. Very very impressed. Despite the comical brand name(!), these are seemingly very well made. Good, thick gauge steel and consistent welds all around. The compressor kit worked out of the box, the two remotes work perfectly fine! The switch in sound as the valves are opened or closed is significant, in my case, it takes approximately 2-3 seconds to switch from closed to open. Very much recommended kit!!!

Would definitely buy again, better than Valvetronic i had before

I didn't realize this was a vacuum actuated muffler when I bought it. Not a big problem, but it does not allow you to have the valve partially open. I typically run my truck with it open anyway, so it's fine. When the valve is closed, there is a noticeable hiss when you accelerate hard. The muffler is extremely quiet when closed, and it might even be a bit restrictive. Overall, though, I can't complain for the price.

Such an amazing muffler! The ability to sound stock or modified on a 3 inch turbo back exhaust is amazing! Highly recommend if you want the best of both worlds!

Garbage. Installed and it is only very slightly louder then when closed. It should sound like I have no muffler on when the valve is open. (I have a v8 turbo). With no muffler on its super loud, I put this on and open the valve and it basically sounds like I installed the stock muffler back on. Waste of time and money!

I would like to preface this review with this statement; “I do not order items that I do not intend to use myself or install myself for someone else.” Having said that; I decided rather than do an “out of the box” type review I would put this item in to service for some time to really get a sense of what it was. This is what I found out;liked what I unboxed so I bought a mate and installed them on a customers big block toter truck. They have been I service about a month and he is very happy with them. REMEMBER thee are stainless so they do require a bit of special work to get them installed right for the long haul. Watch the controls to keep them heat shielded to prevent failure. The tone change is actually quite noticeable and I would say the difference between a noise ticket and NOT getting that ticket.A point to remember here. These are VACUUM operated so if you want to install them on your diesel truck and you do NOT have a secondary source vacuum pump they will NOT operateThe stainless is good quality thickness and as of yet not discolored. The pipe is accurate as to diameter so you can expect a good tight joint(s) in your system.

This cut out muffler kit is a universal kit that you would want to have for your vehicle. I love this kid because I can choose between being loud or if I want a subtle driving experience with a click of a button the muffler came prepackaged fairly good and came with all the components needed, the kit was fairly easy to install and for the muffler shop it was easy for them to fabricate the muffler onto my exhaust system. The muffler is made of high-grade steel and stainless the clamps provided for the exhaust were good fit for the exhaust. I would definitely recommend if you have a racing vehicle.

I initially started my search for a muffler for my custom exhaust without the intent of getting a valved exhaust but when I saw this unit I knew I had to give it a try. The build quality looks quite good and I am rather impressed with the weld quality. Hooking up the electronics for the unit is fairly straightforward, I opted to cut the cigarette lighter portion off the cable and properly hard wire it, but the convenience of being able to just plug it into a cigarette lighter is awesome. I ended up getting 2.25 in piping before I landed on this muffler and with a simple adapter I was easily able to get everything fit up nice and tight. I have a resonator in my setup but the overall sound with the valve open is tastefully loud and with it closed is great for cruising on the highway as it eliminates most drone. Overall this is a great muffler that is priced quite competitively and I would say is well worth it as it essentially gives you two different exhaust systems in one.
