I got this particular range hood because it has a purported 900 CFM draw compared to the weaker 200~300 CFM hoods I see on average. It's also considerably more compact than even the 500 CFM range hoods with the big rectangular ducts. It comes in a big cardboard box with styrofoam buffers, that you have to kind of wiggle it out of the box with two people or cut it out. It has a matte black finish, with a kind of powdery texture. I first tested it on the floor (as recommended in the manual) to see if everything was working properly. It has a touch display that operates the hood, with power, fan speed, lights, and a timer function. It's relatively responsive and intuitive to use. There's this one way flap over the output duct that pushes open when the fan runs so you can get a relative gauge of the air extraction strength as it's kind of hard to tell the suction power from the front. You can't feel much with your hand in the front, even with the grease baffles taken off. However, it easily sucks a small piece of paper in place on the grease baffle, so there is definitely suction. The easiest indication is the immense amount of air pushing out of the duct outlet. I would say it is decently strong at max speed and is feasibly 900 CFM. There are 4 air speeds that you can choose from.The tricky part is the installation, as it is a thinner profile than my old range hood. It has the same width, but 2 inch less in height and a few inches less in depth. In particular, the outlet duct is located just an inch from the back edge while my old duct was more centered so I had to do some cutting in the cabinet to make a gap for the duct. I then had to modify the rigid metal duct to fit, while having two people lift the range hood in place before screwing it on. In our area, the building code requires a rigid metal duct with a smooth interior, so you can't use semi-rigid and flexible ducts for range hoods. As long as you properly consider the dimensions and how it fits in your existing kitchen setup, then I'd say this is a range hood worth getting.

Super powerful. I wish there was a way to dim the lights, which are very bright. Great for cooking but too much for just leaving on for ambience at night. Wood be cool to have that option on the remote. Looks amazing!!

This range hood is the nicest I've ever used. The first thing that impressed me is the high CFM rating of 900. Previous range hoods I've used have only been capable of 600CFM at the most. It makes a big difference to have 50% more suction to help get odors, smoke, steam, etc cleared quickly. The range hood is also much quieter than I anticipated for being so powerful. It isn't any louder than the 600CFM range hoods I've used and is probably a bit quieter. The LED lights are bright and make it easy to see what I'm doing while cooking and the display and controls on the hood makes it easy to select one of 4 different fan speeds as well as set a fan delay so that it turns off after 1-15 minutes. This is perfect for those times you want to finish clearing the air after serving food and sitting down to eat. Just set the fan timer and it'll turn off while you're eating. It's as easy to install as any hood and has a nice high-quality look and feel to it.

This is a range hood for the lower end width of ranges, 30 inches. The typical hood including professional and commercial are stainless, but the black will match to a variety of ranges or cooktops that are black, including induction or halogen types. The suction power is decent with not a high noise level. The remote control is unique and a bonus. Recommended for ease of use and versatility.

Nice quality! It does its job! It’s pretty powerful too! Best part though is how quiet it is! Our old one was so loud and obnoxious. This one is nice and quiet! Install was easy too. Would buy again.

This stove hood is perfect. It’s very sleek in design and made extremely well and up to date. Easy to install but you may need an extra hand as it is heavy!

This EKON 30 Black Hood Range is great nice quality. I am a huge fan of the reusable baffle filters. Just throw them in the dishwasher regularly and it keeps them clean. You will definitely need some spotless wash additive though with them being black. The sound is about the same as a normal single fan hood unit, except for when you factor in the fact that it has two. So, I guess, it’s like a 2 for the sound of 1. I like the fact that its touchscreen, which is easier to keep clean of grease. It has a remote which is nice I guess, but maybe voice control or app control would be better. I think it’s a really nice hood unit, that would make a nice update to any kitchen in need of updating.

The media could not be loaded. This range hood has a very nice high end quality look and feel, the hood was pretty easy to install, it fit perfectly where my old range hood was and I really like that this hood has a 3 prong plug, so no hard wiring was required, I also like how much power this range hood has, it has 2 really decent sized fans with 4 speeds and they work great, however it does get pretty loud, speed 1 and 2 are not to bad, but when you crank it up to speed 3 and 4 you can definitely hear the power in the dual fans, another great feature is the filters, there are 3 separate metal filters that are easy to take out and put back in, but the best part is that the filters are dishwasher safe, so they are super easy to clean as well, the hood also has an LCD display screen, that displays the fan speeds, but it doesn't have a clock on it, you can also set up to a 3hr timer that will turn the fan off automatically, there are also to LED lights on the bottom with high and low brightness level and they light up the stove area pretty good, it also came with a remote control, all in all I am very happy with the over quality and performance of this range hood, absolutely worth the price in my opinion.
