Pass this one up
Wow, this book is not something I will read to my kids again. The Toyman is upset with the companies that shut down his business, so he put explosives into tiny remote control cars which he then sent into the buildings with the companies he is upset with to blow them up. He says "In order to succeed in business you have to blow away the competition." After blowing up the Daily Planet building he says "looks like you're down and out, Superman. Just like your friends at the Daily Planet! That'll teach them to write mean things about me in their nasty newspaper." What a waste of $4. Don't waste your money on this book, there are too many other great stories out there to buy for your children that don't discuss such violent revenge.

A good superhero book!
I read "Attack of the Toyman" to my twin 5yo boys. This book sees Superman fighting against a Toyman, who is upset at companies that put him out of business. He decides to get back by blowing up buildings using explosives on remote control cars. While there is violence in this book, with the explosives, this goes in line with super hero books. My boys never seem to remark on this factor and are always more interested to see how Superman is going to save the day. They liked this one, but I wasn't sure how much I liked the idea of the toys attacking Superman!! It was fun trying to see him get out of it, and the boys seemed to enjoy the ending.A good super hero book.
