American Apparel Women's Cotton Spandex Jersey High-Waist Leggings

Maybe it's just made for taller girls than myself (5'5), but when trying to make sure they're not bunched up, the thickness of the band gets them all the way up to my bra. I have to fold the band on itself so it doesn't consume my whole torso. Still, these are very good. The band is very elastic and has a great grip on my body. The fabric itself is very soft and breathable. It is, however, very thin, so there's potential to show too much if they're stretched. They don't make moving my legs any difficult, good for lounging, athletics, what have you.

This is my second pair. I bought a grey pair in a size medium first. The medium fit, but are a bit too large around the legs, especially the thighs, for me. The size small are a perfect fit. I had been worried, as I've heard AA quality has gone down since being bought out by Gildan. However these are excellent quality. They're thick (not like sweatshirt material, just good quality cotton), hold their shape well when being worn, and are washing and drying great. I really like the high waist, they stay put, a necessity for me chasing two kids. For reference I always wear a size small. I'm currently 130lbs five months post partum - my average weight is around 120lbs and I have a petite build. These in a small fit great now, and will fit when my body eventually goes back to it's usual weight. I like the blue and the grey colour nice neutrals. They're also not see through when you bend. Overall, I'm happy with them. Just wish I could find them in black! It's hard to find good quality cotton leggings now. I get rashes or itchy skin from synthetics, so cotton and other natural fibres are preferred. I'll probably grab another pair of these just to keep for whenever my current pairs wear out.

Never feel entirely comfy ordering clothes on Amazon but in this case, I had to as local stores do not seem to have high-waisted cotton leggings that are not "skinny" or "capri" styles. Not see-thru as some reviews have suggested. I bought the gray and black styles. Long enough inseam where my ankles do not show which is great. They are ridiculously high-waisted but the photos show that so it was not surprise. They actually touch the bottom of my bra but whatever, i have long shirts and do not wear short tops with them. A good price at around $20 and have survived several washes where family has put it on hot dryer settings and have not shrunk. I did order 1 size up though on purpose and of course they are a little loose but that is how I like my clothes.

This fits exactly the way that I want it to. I am 5’2, 171 lbs. Measurements are 39-34-47. Based on reviews and the size chart I ordered a large and it fits perfectly. A lot of people were complaining that the panel goes very high up but as stated in the description these are high waisted so they will fit you incredibly high waisted. For me, I was looking for something very similar to maternity pants to use for postpartum and to just keep everything in place.Pros:• super comfortable• breathable cotton fabric• high waisted panel (for those who like that sort of thing)Cons:• for my height there is about 4 inches of extra fabric on the ankles. (Just folded it in but you can tailor them or have the tailored to fit better.)Will update review as needed.

(Update just to say that what I previously wrote is all true, but sadly these started to fall apart after just a few washes. Seams weakening, holes all over. Can't be worn in public.)Finally! The perfect breathable legging. I I don't even know how to express how perfect these are. They aren't super thick yoga pants. They aren't tights that would be inappropriate to wear out to the grocery store. They're breathable cotton with thick enough fabric to leave your home in if you wanted or needed to. You could sleep in these without discomfort. They're incredibly comfortable But also flattering. they go up high enough on the tummy so that they're not rolling down or you're not yanking on them all day to keep them up, they don't bunch at the knee. I feel like Goldilocks and these are the perfect fit. I think I'll buy about 10 of these.

Update: I’ve worn them less than 5 times and they’ve ripped on the seam and I can’t return them. 1/5 starsThe leggings aren’t thick but they’re not sheer. They’re soft. They’re very long. I’m just under 6 foot and they come right under my breasts. Wore them all day and they felt amazing. It was also hot out and I didn’t sweat in them. Would buy again.

I measure 36-32-38 and am 5'7". Purchased three pairs XL (based on reviews) for my at home pandemic uniform. Should have purchased a large for my build because they pull over up over my chest. Anyways, they are very casual, have a good shape, and are comfortable cotton. If they're see through theyre too small for your frame. Wash well, don't pill, tear, etc. They wouldn't my first choice for tummy control, work outs, and in my opinion aren't for much outside the house. You're paying for comfort, cotton, good shape, and no annoying waist bands.

Almost two months in and I have to change my rating from 5 stars to 2. I love the material, thickness and high waist of this legging. But after two months 2 of the 3 purchased now has holes at the inter-seam. I have other leggings much cheaper last way longer.
