Because they're basically cheap.

They barely fit my fiancés passport width wise and the clamps wouldn’t secure to existing rails correctly. I would not recommend they are flimsy and they make noise without anything on them

They're adjustable width wise so as long as you have the roof rails to mount them to it should work
