This reinforced aluminium foil tape foil tape is part of the market leading range of vapour control, insulating foil products. The tape is a bright aluminium foil tape reinforced with 5 mm² glass scrim for supreme strength and tear resistance. The tape is coated with a high tack rubber/resin adhesive system. It is easy to apply, exhibiting instant adhesion and can be moulded to any profile. The final bond has high shear strength and the foil promotes the optimum balance of surface conformity and tensile strength. This makes it ideal for lap sealing foil faced insulation materials, metal and duct sealing plus other general purpose applications including those within the heating, ventilation and air conditioning sectors. The product is suitable for sealing air conditioning and cool/warm air flow ducting & for sealing joints in ducting providing a vapour-proof barrier. It is also ideal for quick repairs to gutters, down-pipes, ducting, seal the edges of insulated glass units and many other surfaces. This tape has superior resistance to moisture and is recommended for use in high humidity conditions. It can also be used as a vapour seal for reinforced aluminium faced fiberglass or mineral wool thermal insulation.

Sticks very well
Now given up using duck tap this is as good. Had hole in a water butt well over a year ago, as I had nothing else about thought I would try this tape, the butt hasn't leaked yet and the tape still shows no sign of coming away. Thermally can't comment but originally bought to seal aluminum insulation to the interior of a timber exterior sorround I had built for my spa, very impressed how the temperature holds up without an excessive addition to my electric bill. When servicing the spa I can detect no unstuck tape.

Aluminium Tape Foil
Great tape for covering up any gaps in insulation. Personally I think it is great tape, however it isn’t the thickest tape in the world and it can be a nuisance to peel it off the backing paper but overall it is a decent tape at a reasonable price.

Strong tape
Used this for metal membrane and taping joints on celotex in walls. Excellent strong product worth the extra!
